There are times in all our lives when we feel unable to cope. Sometimes the reason for this is clear and we know where to seek help but at other times it is more confused. It is at these times that counselling may be beneficial.
A counsellor is not there to sit you down and tell you what to do - instead they will encourage you to talk about what's bothering you in order to uncover any root causes and identify your specific ways of thinking. The counsellor may then look to create a plan of action to either help you reconcile your issues or help you to find ways of coping.
Counselling may be able to help if you are:
Experiencing any kind of loss
Having difficulties within personal or family relationships
Having problems adjusting to change
Facing a problem that is hard to talk about or resolve
Not feeling good about life at the moment and you don't understand why
